Kate & Sebastian – A Brooklyn Journal…

... at the edge of vibrance

vast warmth

&

comfort are found

here...

crisp white imagery

in lavender shadows

she is.....

centered.

Simple truth,

inevitable, undeniable truth...

there is no "other"

we are never separate,

knowing this in my "heart",

and

in my "self" &  my "mind"

T.Duffy

embrace play

the winds touch...

sun dropping

deep

in

breath

Nico

is connected to them...

in her eyes

she seems to know...

inhale love

pure

understood

sustained ...

We were so incredibly thankful to spend the time in Brooklyn, New York with two of the most wonderful souls... Conversation, coffee, sushi, sunset and their adorable dog, Nico....  Kate & Sebastian were so open...easy to hold deep conversations with, artists, foodies, Bard Graduates, and they are so sweetly in love.... We cherished the small glimpse of the stunning city which they call home, and are so fortunate to be able to soon see the sacred place in Vermont where their wedding will take place this July... xoxo Kristen & Joe

Sarah & Greg’s Art Blithewold Wedding

There are birds,

And some are singing

To greet every new day that may come

Like the first of spring

I've had the feeling

At the heart, and in the core

The roots of all things

But there's a bud,

 There's a bulb...

It will be blooming

To greet every new day that may come

Like the first of spring...

Importante Composition: Christy + Stacy’s East Orleans Wedding

12 years of growth...

waiting for the moment

now it is time...

Long winding dirt roads

through scrub pines and oaks

end at this magical place...

Seafoam green

and soft details

envelope the perfect February air...

A fathers light touch

and kind eyes

show his love for her...

with Stacy's joyful, beautiful tears...

Emotion flows

as words are promised and become real...

Art and well read books hold stories...

as first friends share secrets...

in matching soft pink cardigans,

 and velvet dresses...

Siblings play

as the fish dance in  in the kitchen...

memories found in nature,

 hand created in vibrant colors,

or

bleached by the salt and the sun...

This home,

it's gifts and love

is the residence of Christy's 94 year old grandmother...

simple elegance in white

reveals red velvet

Her sweet smile

melts us ...

...friends and family

white hyadrangeas, and the century old rock walls

stretch...

in softness and endurance

long standing history

here

and a connection to the sea...

stunning...

The dinner bell waits

to call in the children

from the waters edge or a game of hide in seek ...

This was a beautiful affirmation of truth.

It was not only the dedication of a long-celebrated love between these two extraordinary people, but an earnest declaration of lifelong care to and from their children, their family and friends.

Stacy and Christy’s commitment to the basic principles of humanity, compassion and grace made our invitation to witness and record this event one we will forever look back on as one of the most humbling, gracious days of our lives.

Onward with love.

Christmas at the Belcourt… – Sarah + Greg’s Newport Engagement

Crisp wind bites

as shoppers huddle close

carrying packages...

The Clouds were smiling

in the festive air...

Held back by old walls

the ocean retreats

but not his look...

She carries it all ...

the wind

and emotion

He is strong...

Where will it take

us?

seeing in a new way...

Thank you Sarah and Greg for braving the chilly day! The delicious lunch, and getting to know you both was fabulous... and Sarah - that red coat rocked!!!  Thank you for laughing at our dumb jokes, and surprising us with absolutely sweet kisses! ( with each other, not us - lol ).  Seriously, you are both stunning,  and we are proud to be chosen to document the next chapter of  your love story...We can't wait to see you in April for your Spring Wedding at the Museum of Art and to meet your Pit Bull's you foster!  xoxo Kristen & Joe
