Truro Vineyards and the winding road:: Lindsey & Jamie – Cape Cod Wedding Photographers

I love you,
Not only for what you are,
But for what I am
When I am with you.

I love you,
Not only for what
You have made of yourself,
But for what
You are making of me.

Lindsey and Jamie have been vacationing on the Cape for many years and dreamt of a casual clam-bake beachy wedding – bare feet, surrounded by their best friends… but they took a turn and chose the Vineyards for their reception amongst the young green grapes…  I met Lindsey at the West End Salon, Provincetown where her hair was transformed into soft hollywood finger waves with an amazing brooch I covet to this day! The house they rented in Truro was such a wonderful place for Lindsey to get ready with all of her bridesmaids surrounding her, and her sweet mom and adoring step-dad close by…   The lovely ceremony on  Corn Hill Beach in Truro brought on many tears… a good friend of Jamie’s was officiating , and although it was his first time, he knew how to invoke the love in a short time with raindrops pelting…  It made for the misty cape cod beach photographs, which we loved – and then skies quickly cleared… so on to the Truro Vineyards, where they were greeted with champagne before heading into the vines for a few moments alone…  For two people we had never met before this day, we truly were so comfortable with them and they, who say they never get dressed up, truly nailed it!  Paper bouquets were made by all of the girls from pages of books reflecting Lindsey being a teacher, and the centerpieces of stacked books were simply perfect! (especially the kids Harry Potter table –  my favorite!) Osterville Caterers Clambakes, etc. always deliver yummy local lobster, traditional cape cod clam boil with chorizo, potatoes and corn… just awesome – Oh, and cupcakes were on hand as the wine flowed and stories began….  until everyone took a moment to watch the full moon rise over the Vineyard  – a fitting end to such a wonderful wedding.
